After a successful season in St. Mawes and an exhibition of my paintings of France, in Newlyn earlier this year, I am just getting ready for the NEWLYN ARTS FESTIVAL 2011. Now in its fifth year, the Festival will start on Friday 16th September with a celebration at Newlyn Art Gallery between 7 and 9pm. This 'Open' exhibition will embrace work from both professional and amateur artists either working from studios in Newlyn or living in Newlyn. I help organise this exhibition with artist John Mitchell and am part of a dedicated team, putting on film, poetry, literary lunches, dance, several musical events and more. This year our guest will be Michael Eavis who will open the Festival.

OPEN STUDIOS is a very popular event and will take place over Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September 11-4pm. I will be opening my studio along with fellow artist Mark Nichols and we will welcome all who can make it.
